CONSTITUTION

OF THE

BRUNSWICK MENS SOFTBALL LEAGUE

Article I

The name of this organization shall be the Brunswick Men’s Softball League (herein after signified as BMSL).

Article II

The aim of this organization shall be to promote amateur softball in the city of Brunswick, Ohio.

Article III

Any male 18 years or older may become a member of this organization as provided by the rules set down. 

Article IV

The number of commissioners will be determined by the amount of work to be done.  They shall be elected annually as provided in the Bylaws.  Their duties shall be those usually pertaining to these offices and such other duties prescribed by the Constitution or the Bylaws.  Any member in good standing nominated shall be eligible for election as commissioners.  The governing body of this organization shall be the commissioners, team managers or representative in good standing.

Article V

If the office of one or more commissioners shall become vacant, a person or persons shall be appointed by the president and shall take over the remainder of the term.  If more than three commission offices become vacant at one time, then the managers will hold a special election to fill the commission.

Article VI

Meetings of the organization shall be held as needed.  The date, time and place shall be chosen by the president.  Special meetings may be called by the chairman.

Article VII

Meetings of the commissioners may be called by the president, or any other member of the commission, by giving advance notice to all other commission members.

Article VIII

The commissioning board members may act only by an affirmative majority vote of the board members on all affairs of business and policy.  However, the commissioning board has no final authority or influence on the disciplinary board.  The commissioners may impeach by way of majority vote of the board any board member for nonfulfillment of duties, in which case succession to office shall be as prescribed in ARTICLE V.

Article IX

Amendments to this constitution and bylaws may be made at any time by a MAJORITY affirmative vote of the managers or representative in good standing.
